Love is heavy to carry..

Individually you’re asked to think about yourself and how you’re perceived, more often than I would like to admit if I’m being honest. But then trying to have the same care and understanding for another person is something we could never prepare anyone for.

You get to know a version of each other during the talking stage and you’re convinced that this is the person I will always know, well we at least hope we know some version of that person. With this comes the ability to better interpret how you communicate your likes, dislikes, what keeps you up at night or what keeps you going during the day. You’re attempting to look beyond your own reflection and attempting to connect with the person sitting/standing right across from you.

Love is heavy to carry because to some degree you have to put your own needs aside in that given moment. That moment when you’re hurting but you can’t even express how you really feel because it’s not your moment but then you realise that you don’t know when that moment will come back and one day you eventually forget about it.

But you still hope they’ll ask you ‘how are you doing really?’ and show you that they’re still there..
